Higurashi no Koro Ni – 9: Curse Killing 1
It's just an ordinary day in Hinamizawa. A landlord is poking at a trashbag that has been emitting a very bad smell as one of his tenants looks on from her balcony window. As the landlord pokes it, the bag ruptures and spews forth a disgusting smell and a legion of files. The tenant points to the contents in horror. It's a human corpse, its intestines spilling out, and nails in each finger joint. That, ladies and gentelmen, is how arc #3 of Higurashi begins.
What piques my interest here is that there are nails in the finger joints, which might make Mion a killer loli in this chapter, and that the body resembles a certain blond 12 year old killer loli. Poor poor Satoko-chan.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni – 8: Watanagashi – 4
So…sorry about the no-posts for Fate/Stay Night and Strawberry Panic!. I was traveling this weekend and didn't have time for it. Good news: moar killer lolis! This is the end of the arc, and it joins episode 4 in being totally creepy and hilarious at the same time. I've decided to add my running commentary in italics inside the summary, so you know how absolutely stupid Keiichi is. One question reigns supreme in my mind: what happened to poor Rika-chan?
Oooh. I forgot about that. Poor Rika-chan.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni – Why It’s Teh Pwn
Ah, Higurashi. The only show this season which will simultaneously overload your brain with cuteness and scare you so much you wet yourself. The entire plot centers around one question: "What can Keiichi do to piss off the killer lolis and the local deity so that he gets himself killed?". To understand the show so far (I'm thinking about adding it to the blogging lineup), you need to understand the characters, and what makes them so deliciously cute and evil at the same time. (Note: the story so far is detailed below, beware spoilers and the like)
