Ach, Mein Bloggen!

Just another anime blog

Strawberry Panic! – 5 and Fate/Stay Night – 18

Hooray for laziness! I was fresh off of possibly failing my English final, so I was in no mood to blog yesterday…but here's what I ment to blog about. Yeah.

Strawberry Panic! – 5

Fortunately, this one can be cut short. Except for the beginning. We start out watching Nagisa and Tomao drawing a card for the annual room attendants drawing, where an underclassman (here, a junior high aged girl, grade 1) draws a name and has to help out their sempais/onee-samas clean their dorm room and the like. At the drawing, we are formally introduced to the Shinobu-like girl who interrupted Nagisa and Shizuma in the library a few episodes back, Tsukidate Chiyo (She's cute, but she can't hold a candle to the other Chiyo-chan. Pigtails would help…magic pigtails.). Chiyo-chan reaches into the box, gulps, and pulls out…Nagisa and Tomao's card. Needless to say, she's thrilled. It takes the Student Council President Lady a few times to bring her back to reality. SCPL congratulates her, and Chiyo promptly slams her head on the table. I think my head exploded from the sheer hilarity of this scene.

"Arigatou gosama.." BAM! Argh, my brain!

This scene more than makes up for the lack of Tomao last week. Anywho, the room attendants make their way to their onee-samas rooms, in their absolutely adorable maid uniforms. Unfortunately, Chiyo-chan spends the whole night practicing her introduction to Nagisa, and misses the date. Nagisa and Tomoe are busy discussing this in the stairway leading up to their room while Chiyo attempts to arrive a day late, not noticing the girls aren't there. Chiyo lets herself into their room and begins cleaning. Meanwhile, Nagisa and Tomoe run into Hikari and Yaya, who are envious of the Miator room attendant tradition (they go to Spica). Hot on their tails is another first year that joined the chorus with them, Okuwaka Tsubomi-chan, who seems quite taken with Hikari. This officially makes Hikari and Nagisa harem equals, for they both have an underclassman (Tsubomi and Chiyo), an equal/roommate (Yaya and Tomao), and an uber popular sempai (Amane and Shizuma) after them. I wonder if a Le Rim girl will succumb to the same fate. Nagisa suggests that the girls go to Nagisa and Tomoe's room for some of Tomoe's delicious tea, and so that the Spica girls can try on their room attendants apron, assuming she shows up. This excites poor Tsubomi-chan, who insists that Hikari wear one too, after Nagisa brings it up. The girls scare Chiyo as they enter the room, and cause her to undo most of the cleaning that she did win their absence. Nagisa mistakes the sheet covered Chiyo as a ghost, and runs away, only to run into Strict Nun Lady (TM), who scolds both Nagisa and Chiyo and sends them on their way. By the time they get back to the room, it's too late for their tea party, so Yaya suggests they do it at midnight, against school rules and common sense. Later that night, Hikari and Yaya sneak into the room and prepare for the party, while Tsubomi eagerly waits outside. Chiyo runs into her, and the two get into an argument about the maid uniform that Chiyo is still wearing and the room attendant tradition. The two get too loud and all six girls are subsequently caught by Angry Nun Lady (TM) and sentenced to clean the stairs in the chapel tower. As a bonus to the loyal viewers, we get Tomao in a maid uniform. Win.

Yaya: "…Hikari in aprons". Unfortunately, this is the only "Cute Tomao Moment" we get this week. Chiyo and her table make up for it though :p

Chiyo says the whole thing is her fault and tries to do everything by herself, and ends up making her and Nagisa fall down the stairs, scraping Nagisa's knee. Chiyo starts to cry and say that she's useless to Nagisa-sama and isn't a good little sister. Nagisa gives her the card back to cheer her up and says that she didn't know if she would be a good onee-sama (Big Sister), and says that she's thankful to have such a cute little sister…which makes Chiyo cry harder. Chiyo permanently switches to Nagisa-onee-sama (before she started to say it but dropped the "onee"), and the girls still sneak their tea party in. Yay.

Fate/Stay Night – 18

Caster is sitting on the steps of Ryudoji, pondering on her past as Medea and her first encounter with Kuzuki. After the OP, we cut to Emiya, Rin, and Saber at the foot of the temple, planning how they're going to get Sakura back. Saber asks why Caster would want Sakura, who is not a magician, and Rin says that even though she hasn't been trained, she still has a magic circuit inside of her, much like Emiya, and that she's from a lineage of magicians. Rin as a few flashbacks of her at a younger age and another girl, who looks a lot like a very young Sakura, being separated. Rin suddenly takes a shortcut into the woods, and dispels a barrier into another temple, built by Caster for the summoning of the Holy Grail. The trio is attacked by a bunch of summoned creatures, who only stop after Rin and Saber bury them under a collapsed archway. They make their way up the stairs to the main temple, where Saber stays behind to fight Assassin, who doesn't have much time left due to his being summoned by another Servant. Rin and Emiya are attacked by Kuzuki, and Emiya, after imaging Archer's twin swords again, stays behind to settle the score, leaving Rin to stop Caster from harming Sakura. Saber's fight rages on, and Assassin reveals that his Heroic Spirit is actually just a myth, and he wants to defeat Saber to prove that he exists now, even if he never existed before. Saber comes very close to revealing why she wants the Holy Grail, but we cut back to Emiya and Kuzuki before she can say it. Rin finally runs into Sakura, who is decked out in a hot leather outfit.

God, that game translation can't move fast enough…

Caster appears behind Rin, and reveals that she knows the girls' past. Rin has another series of flashbacks, which kinda implies that Rin and Sakura are sisters, and that Sakura was adopted into a different family when the girls were younger. Caster whispers to Sakura that the person she has been waiting for has arrived, which makes freaky black tentacles sprout from under her feet and attack Rin.

*Insert dirty sounding screaming here*

The light from Sakura's "transformation" distracts both Emiya and Saber, and while the former is subjected to a series of blows by his opponent, the latter avoids Assassin's strike and comes down on him like the badass she is. Rin resolves that she has no choice but to fight Sakura's Tentacles of Doom (TM), and after a series of spells (in horribly crappy German), she manages to take her down. Sakura materializes a dagger before Rin makes her final blow, and the two fall to the ground. Blood drips from a wound on Rin's side, and she apologizes for abandoning Sakura in the past (it still hasn't explicitly said that they're sisters, but I'm pretty sure) and kisses Sakura on the head before collapsing.

This would be totally hot if they weren't sisters…wait, it's still totally hot

Caster laughs it off and says that she only needs one sacrifice to summon the Holy Grail before making me suffer though another cliffhanger ending. Bitch.

More awesomeness from Fate/Stay Night this week, while Strawberry Panic! settles down a bit and simultaneously adds another girl to Nagisa's harem and dumps her in the "Little Sister Zone (TM)" in the same episode. You look like Shinoubu, and now you're both in the same club. The young ones get no respect. Except for Canvas 2, but theres always an exception…anyway, I really hate/love cliffhangers, and I'm dealing with 2, the other being Noein. *Stabs Shinsen-Subs to work faster on finishing Noein*. The good/high profile stuff this season is the only stuff being subbed regularly (Haruhi, Fate, SP!, Sukuran, AMG, and Roots), while Black Lagoon and Simoun (which might get dropped due to severe apathy on my part) lag behind. Tis a shame on Black Lagoon's part…Levi=(Spike-penis+boobs+extra gun)^hotness.
